About Mrs. Janik

Hello! My name is Mrs. ! This is my third year teaching at the Homer-Center Junior/Senior High School! This year, I am teaching PSSA Math Prep 7, Foundations of Math 7, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Trigonometry, and Honors Pre-Calc/Trig. I am also an assistant coach of the Homer-Center Cross Country Team and the head coach of the Girl's Homer-Center Track and Field Team.

I am a 2015 graduate of Saint Vincent College. While at Saint Vincent, I obtained my Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and received two teaching certificates, including Secondary Mathematics Grades 7-12 and Middle School Math Grades 4-8. I was also a member of the Women's Cross Country and Track teams. In December 2019, I graduated with my master’s degree in Technology Education from California University of Pennsylvania. I also received a teaching certificate in STEM Education.

Before joining the Wildcat Team, I taught for four years at the Altoona Area High School, where I taught Pre-Calc/Trig, Geometry, Algebra III, and Algebra I Skills Refresher. I was also the Lady Lions Cross Country Assistant Coach for four seasons.

I am a 2011 graduate of Greater Latrobe High School. In my spare time, I like to run/be active, craft on my Cricut, watch Netflix/Hulu (while I plan/grade!), and hang out with my husband Steve and my cat Luna!
